Dateable ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Dateable mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
• Display name — shown within the app for personalization

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or other data.

1.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect certain usage data through Firebase Analytics, including:

• App opens, screen views, and feature usage patterns
• Device type, operating system version, and app version
• Crash reports and performance data

This data is aggregated and anonymized. It helps us understand which features are most useful and improve app stability.

1.3 Images (Camera & Photo Library)

If you choose to use the AI profile review or image analysis features, you may grant access to your camera or photo library. Images you provide are:

• Sent securely to Google's Gemini AI API for analysis
• Not stored on our servers
• Not used to train AI models
• Processed in real-time and discarded after the response is generated

1.4 AI Conversations

Messages you send to the AI dating coach are processed by Google's Gemini API. These conversations are:

• Not stored on our servers
• Processed in real-time to generate responses
• Subject to Google's Gemini API Terms of Service

1.5 Purchase Information

When you subscribe to Dateable Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play. We receive:

• Subscription status (active, trial, cancelled)
• Purchase token and order ID (for subscription verification)

We do not receive or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. All payment data is managed by Google Play Billing.

1.6 Locally Stored Data

Certain data is stored only on your device using encrypted storage:

• Saved openers and copy history
• AI-generated bios
• Onboarding preferences
• Subscription status (encrypted)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the Service: Authenticate your account, deliver AI-powered features, and manage your subscription
• Improve the App: Analyze aggregated usage data to fix bugs, improve performance, and develop new features
• Send Notifications: Deliver push notifications about tips, features, and important updates (you can disable these in your device settings)
• Provide Support: Respond to feedback you voluntarily submit through the app

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

• All network communication uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Sensitive data on your device is stored using AES-256 encrypted storage
• Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth with secure password hashing
• API keys are stored securely via Firebase Remote Config, not in the app binary
• The app uses code obfuscation (R8/ProGuard) to prevent reverse engineering

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.

Locally stored data (saved openers, bios, copy history) can be cleared by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Dateable is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove that information.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time
